Oceanside harbor features miles of beaches, yachts, shops and restaurants along the shore. the harbor consists of a slip area full of moored yachts and an open water area that is protected by a break wall. summer weekends can draw crowds from all over making the harbor busy full of boats and paddle craft.. Kayaking out of oceanside harbor, some bigger swells coming at the mouth of the harbor. we did see some dolphin but was not able to get it on camera. then a busy time at the dock on the way back.. Oceanside harbor is my favorite place in san diego county to go kayaking. depending on my mood i can stay in the harbor, go to the slightly rougher area between the sea and the harbor, or head out to the sea.. I love fishing and am looking into purchasing a kayak for fishing. i am hoping with all the great posts on here someone has some knowledge about kayaks for fishing. i am a noob when it comes to saltwater but am trying to learn. i am looking for a kayak that i can take out to the kelp patties and possibly put around the oceanside harbor..
