I,m on my way to try the same route but from venezuela to trinidad,i guess the boat what,s coming from trinidad must go back to trinidad.anybody has any idea how to go about it from venezuela or who to contact???. There is a flight fro trinidad to caracas and another trinidad to maturin. (check ravsa airline or "venezolana" de aviacion). ferry service was suspended a while back. cannot comment on safety of boats.. I want to go from venezuela (guiria) to trinidad by boat. unfortunately i can't find any detailed information about prices and so on. the only thing i could find is that the boat leaves from guiria in venezuela every wednesday..
Here's some info on the ferry from tucupita (venezuela) to cedros (trinidad and tobago), which we took on april 7th 2016. there are two companies that i know of, that do this trip : "angel del orinoco" and "cruceros delta orinoco". the first company has a much better boat (though both boats are pretty small and the ride is a little rough!).
